Wine World at the Westin
Upon learning that they would be staying in
Michigan's Airport the Posse (Susanne, Sarah,
Linda, Clarise and Louise) quickly decided a
room for sleeping would need to be secured.
The only "logical" choice had to be the 5 star
Westin which was part of the airport terminal.
The room was quickly obtained and then the
group decided on a plan to obtain wine for the
evening. A quick call was placed to Sue Eichler
and her band of merry maids who just happened
to be passing the Canadian duty free store. Oh
what luck... Now to find food. Again the Eichler
band would save the day providing the
transportation necessary for the posse to go out
in search of food. The car was handed off at the
airport as the Eichler band with Tonya, Leanne
and Kelly headed off to board their plane back to
the sunshine of Florida... Or so they
thought...(See Leaving on a Jet Plane) So with a
5 star hotel to stay in, the group decided to eat at
(drummmmm rolllll) Wendy's. Now with full
bellies they headed back to drop off the rental
car, a stipulation from Sue E. for using it, then
boarded a shuttle back to the Westin. With a
bottle of vino consumed, through the generosity
of the Merry Maids, Sue E. and Kelly called to
say they are joining us do to an overbooked
plane. Oh great fortune the party has gotten
bigger. Well needless to say a "few" bottle of
wine later and the group was having a great time.
Unfortunatley 5am comes around rather early
and with the night gone and planes to be caught
Louise and her posse loaded their gear and
pushed off to find their morning flight.

The beginnings of a very beautiful evening in the very luxurious Westin, Louise Koski enjoys the ambiance of it all.

Wonderful wines are consumed in a beautiful setting.

The wine flows freely with good friends.... as the night progresses.

Alas, a monkey wrench is
thrown in the evening as
Louise cannot pry the damB
cork out of the last bottle of
wine!!!
"What does it all mean"
she is heard muttering under
her breath, battling with the
last, yet, completely
uncorkable bottle!
